Federica!
Finally back in Italy after a loooong year. Arriving was such a great feeling. Being surrounded by friends and family everywhere I turned or walked.
The first night I got there, I went straight to the beach with Gianni where some friends we're hangingout and waiting.

Prior to that, my cousin Jessica who was only in town for two days (because she is in the military) stopped by to say hey.

Stoked.

Awesome day. Monica went back to Windsor, which sucked, but I hungout with Konstantin and Bill Cashman in Washington Square park, and then later that night, I headed over to Brooklyn to see Casa De Chihuahua who were SUPER FUN. I took rad photos. Too bad we'll never see em!

154/365 (June 3rd, 2009)

The night before, Bilmas and Tammy brought me to this amazing bookstore called "Bluestockings" in the Lower East Side. I couldn't spend much time there because Bilmas and I had to head to the Art Brut show, so Melanie and I came back the next day. First thing she did was walk up to their stand full of pins, looked at the first brown one she could find (her fave colour) and then screamed my name! What a great find!

After the bookstore, we rushed over to The Pearl Theatre to see Tennessee William's Vieux Carre. It ruled! I loved the way they set up the stage and their general use of space. A lot of people disagreed, but I thought it was perfect.

After the play, I headed BACK to Bluestockings (I went there at least 15 times after as well), bought a book, and hungout with some folk in Justin's room.
We had a french braiding party...

146/365 (May 26th, 2009)

Tuesday we hit up the Metropolitan Museum of Art. It was huge and amazing and filled with great exhibits. My favorite the Picture Generation exhibit, and the "Model As Muse" exhibit! This photo was taking from a top the roof "garden."

After the Met, Justin and I went and saw Japanther play a weird free show at Barnes and Nobel. It was being televised, or livestreamed or something. Anyways, it was weirding sitting and watching them, but it was still pretty awesome/hilarious.
After that suuuuper early show, Justin and I decided to go hangout with some of the girls. Justin thought a red onesie would be the appropriate attire for said hangout.

After hangingout in their room forever, we decided a late night walk to Washington Square Park was in order. We decided the gross fountain would be the best place to hangout in.
Shauna and I! She was so fun.

144/365 (May 24th, 2009)

Justin, Janine, Hollie, Melanie and I waiting for our flight to NYC in Detroit!

Melanie and all of her documents
The side of the plane I was sitting on swooped down and gave us all a beautiful view of Manhattan!

When we arrived, we found this vegetarian placed called Moaz that gave us SO much food (and delicious lemonade with mint!) for $7.
We pretty much all have a double room to ourselves, but poor Melanie got stuck on the NINTH floor, when the rest of us are on the third! She stayed with me last night, but she's currently downstairs trying to get her own room on the third floor. It'll make it so much easier because we both have guests coming both weekends.
After we all got settled in, we went to meet up with Dale at 55 Bar on Christopher.
We couldn't get in right away because it was PACKED, so we sat around outside for a bit.
When we did get in, it was worth it. The Jazz band was really awesome. I can't remember what they were called. Lage Something Whatever from Sweden. I didn't stick around TOO long though. Pretty wiped from the trip.
I have no idea what's going on today yet. I should maybe figure that out. A bunch of us are going to walk around Greenwich Village (where I'm staying) to get ourselves situated with our neighbourhood, then whooooo knows!
